The student learn the basics of coding and programming through the workshop.

They gain hands-on experience with Apple programming software and tools.

The student improve their problem-solving skills by working on coding challenges during the workshop.

They learn about the applications of coding in real-world scenarios, especially in the context of Apple products.

 

 

Session 1. 
Drawing w/ Apple Pencil on iPad

Learn how to quickly draw a portrait in the Procreate app on iPad in this 60-minute session. We’ll start by taking a selfie and tracing it with Apple Pencil. You’ll practise using drawing tools, brushes and a colour palette to make a one-of-a-kind portrait. Devices will be provided. Recommended for beginners.
 

Session 2. 
Swift Playground

Swift is a powerful programming language created by Apple that’s used to build many popular apps. Swift Playgrounds is an app for iPad that makes learning how to code interactive and fun. In this 60-minute session, we’ll show you how to get started with coding using the Swift Playgrounds app.
 

Session 3.   

Make Your Own Emoji 

Learn fun ways to create emoji. We’ll show kids how to draw colorful faces and objects. Then they’ll explore using the Procreate app on iPad with Apple Pencil to draw an emoji to take home. Devices will be provided. Recommended for kids aged 8–12.
 
Session 4.
Make a Theme Song/Movie

Create a theme song for your favorite show, book or game using GarageBand on iPad. We’ll cover rhythm basics, and kids will get hands-on with experimenting with Smart Drums, adding pre-recorded loops and remixing their theme song.
